CSR Student Movement - About Us
History

The Corporate Social Responsibility Student Movement (CSRSM) is a registered student interest group in the National University of Singapore. The organization was initiated in 2004 and officially incorporated in June 2005. Since then, it has successfully held many CSR and corporate related seminars as well as worked closely with corporate partners like Singapore Compact and City Development Limited, attracting speakers from distinguished professors to high level executives from well known corporations.

Our Goals

CSR Student Movement The CSRSM aims to raise awareness of corporate social responsibility within the student body, and encourage interest, discussion and further research into this area. In this respect, CSRSM believes in moving out from the textbooks and into the industry, and hopes that both our partners and the student body will stand to gain from these cooperation opportunities.

The present inculcation of integrity and a strong set of CSR values and belief system will help to create a culture of social responsibility within corporations when they become business leaders and translate their awareness into action. The university is a place where many such leaders will emerge from, thus the importance of the movement to the student body.
